Server Stats Installation
The server stats toolkit will send the CPU, Memory usage and disk space information to Status Monitor to allow for monitoring and alerts to be sent against server performance
Installation
To install you will require full root access to your server. From the command line run the below command to download the server stats toolkit
wget https://status-monitor.co.uk/drivers/server-stats
Next you will need to set the permissions to allow the script to be executed:
chmod 777 server-stats
You need to configure your toolkit to connect to your monitor and identify your server. You can do this by creating a `.env` file in the same directory as your installation
Within this `.env` file add the below variables and configure with your unique monitor UUID and server IP Address
MONITOR_UUID=
IP_ADDRESS=
You can test your installation is configured correctly by manually triggering a send command. There is no output if it is working correctly and you should see data in your status monitor dashboard.
/root/server-stats send
Next you need to add a cron job to contiously send the required information. You can configure this by doing the below
crontab -e
Add the line below into your cron job list:
* * * * * /root/server-stats send >> /dev/null 2>&1
